This ritual is recited to keep the heart secure by seeking Allah's mercy against financial hardship, poverty, and weakness of faith. It guides you through making an intention, reciting the supplication, and offering praise.

Intention of Refuge and Security

Take a deep breath, turn to your heart, and make the intention:

"O Allah; I seek refuge in Your infinite mercy and protection from the distress of poverty in this world and the Hereafter, and from the darkness of faithlessness and disbelief. Bless my provision, make my faith steadfast, and grant peace to my heart. Protect me with the security of Your servants who seek refuge in You."
