30-Day Ramadan Reflection with the Verses of Fasting

Keep the wisdom of fasting alive in your heart throughout Ramadan by reading verses 183-185 of Surah Al-Baqarah and reflecting upon their meaning every day. This 30-day plan guides you through making an intention, reciting the verses of fasting, and offering a prayer of taqwa.

Intention of Taqwa

Sit down at a quiet time of the day, preferably after suhoor or before iftar, and make your intention:

"O Allah, through the fast I keep, I intend to draw closer to You, attain taqwa, and discipline my soul. Open my heart as I read Your verses, and grant me the ability to live by what I understand."

Surah Al-Baqarah, Verses 183-185 — The Verses of Fasting
